How to setup MFA on my account?
Setting up MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication) on your account is simple and should only take a few minutes. You will be guided through the process with a step-by-step guide presented on the screen.
If you have not enabled MFA, a pop-up will appear when you log in, asking you to set up MFA.
When you click on the ‘Setup’ action button, it will take you to the instructions page. If you have logged in for more than 15 minutes, you will be asked to reconfirm your password before setting up MFA.
The instructions page will show you the steps you need to follow:
- Download an authenticator app from the App Store (for iPhones) or Google Play (for Android devices). Opypro supports Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator.
- Log in to Opypro using your username and password.
- If you haven’t already set up MFA, you will be prompted to do so via a pop-up. Alternatively, you can set up MFA by clicking on the Profile icon in the top-right corner and selecting Setup MFA.
- Open the authenticator app you just downloaded and scan the QR code displayed on the screen using the Add New button (or a similar option).
- Step-by-step guide: Google Authenticator
- Open the Google Authenticator app (often displayed as ‘Authenticator’).
- Sign in using a Google account (work or personal) or select option ‘Select Authenticator without an account’.
- Tap ‘Add a Code’ or the ‘+’ button at the bottom right.
- Select ‘Scan a QR Code’.
- Scan the QR code displayed on the Opypro-Web screen.
- Step-by-step guide: Google Authenticator
- Step-by-step Guide: Microsoft Authenticator
- Open the Microsoft Authenticator app (often displayed as ‘Authenticator’).
- Sign in using a work or personal account, or skip this step if preferred.
- Tap the ‘+’ button at the top right.
- When prompted, choose ‘Work or School Account’.
- Select ‘Scan QR Code’ from the pop-up menu.
- Scan the QR code displayed on the Opypro-Web screen
- Add a name to distinguish Opypro codes (e.g., ‘Opypro Customer Portal’). The app may auto-populate this name.
- After you scan the code and set up MFA on the authenticator app, please enter the code that appears in the app and also provide a name for the device you are setting up MFA on (e.g., Work Mobile). We also recommend that you ‘sign out from other devices’ to ensure all new logins are MFA validated before logging into the system.
- Once you click the ‘Submit’ button, MFA will be set up.
Multiple devices (shared user accounts)
In order to set up multiple devices/users on the same login, the first user who sets up MFA on the account will need to allow the other users to enrol their devices as well.
The simplest way to allow other users to enrol their devices on the same account is to inform all the people who share the account that they will need to set up their MFA device and to contact you for the authentication code when logging in.
This is best done via a remote screenshare session (e.g. Zoom, MS Teams, Google Meet) to help the other person through the journey.
To set up additional MFA devices:
- Ask the additional user to log in to Opypro at https://business.opypro.com.au
- Enter the existing email and password details.
- When the user is prompted for the authenticator code, you will need to provide them with the code from your device.
- The additional user should now be logged in to Opypro and can start the process of enrolling their device
- They should click on the Profile icon in the top right and navigate to Account Security.
This will take you to the Account Security screen, where you will find a section called Two-Factor Authentication. - Click the link Set up Authenticator Application.
- From here they should follow the MFA setup process by following the prompts on the screen.
Refer to the section above if they need assistance going through the setup process.
